On Thursday, September 18, 2025, MITS riders should expect detours in two different areas of the city.
W. Bethel Avenue will be closed for construction, impacting Routes #14 and #16, which will detour to McGalliard Road during the closure. The Washington Street Bridge will also be closed for the annual Bridge Dinner event, which begins at 5:30 PM. This closure will affect Routes #1, #14, and #16, requiring buses in that area to reroute.
Both closures may cause delays, so please plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Detour maps are available below to show how your route may be affected.
